Implants

All-On-4

Many of our patients are familiar with dental implants. Did you know there is a dental implant system that allows you to enjoy “instant” dentures? If you are looking for a permanent solution to tooth loss along a dental arch, you may be a good candidate for the All-on-4 system. The implant-retained prosthetic uses fewer titanium posts that other implant-supported dentures, and patients can immediately enjoy the benefits of their new denture.

How Does the All-on-4 System Work?

While many implant-supported dentures require the surgical placement of several titanium posts, the All-on-4 system is supported by only four implants. Also known as same-day dentures, the All-on-4 system uses carefully angled titanium posts that maximize stability while minimizing oral surgery procedures. Patients who may not be candidates for implant-supported dentures can often benefit from this unique surgical approach. One of our doctors will place the implants at special angles that maximize available jawbone tissue. This can allow some patients to forgo the need for bone graft surgery. There are many benefits afforded by the All-on-4 system.

Unrivaled Stability

Traditional dentures are prone to wobbling and shifting. The All-on-4 system allows dentures to be anchored directly to the jawbone. Many of our patients report that the advanced system feels and functions just like natural teeth. If you desire a restored diet that includes steak, apples, and chewy foods, the All-on-4 system may be ideal for you. The All-on-4 system allows our patients to enjoy the same level of stability that other implant-retained dentures afford but with fewer implant posts. You can restore your ability to chew and speak with confidence by exploring this unique restorative option.

Instant Dentures

You may have heard that dental implants require three to four months of recovery before they can support a crown, bridge, or denture. While this is true for many implant-retained prosthetics, the All-on-4 system allows our patients to enjoy the benefits of “instant dentures.” So, what does that mean? Once your four implants are placed, you will be fitted with your new denture. The unique All-on-4 system allows for instant loading. Patients who use alternative implant-retained dentures often have to wait several months before their final denture can be placed. If you are looking for a tooth loss solution that allows you to enjoy fully restored oral function, one of our doctors will be glad to explain the benefits of this unique dental implant system.

Less Stringent Candidacy Requirements

All-on-4 dentures allow our doctors to utilize portions of your jawbone that maximize available bone density. If you have been told that you are not a candidate for implant-retained dentures, you may still be a candidate for the All-on-4 system. One of our doctors will use advanced digital x-rays to determine where the implants can be placed so you can forgo the time and expense of bone graft surgery.

Improved Jawbone Health

Dental implants prevent jawbone atrophy. If you have recently suffered the loss of an entire dental arch, placement of the All-on-4 system can prevent bone loss. The loss of alveolar bone can leave you looking advanced in years, and the bone loss can lead to oral health problems down the road. If you are planning to undergo tooth extractions or are dissatisfied with the performance of your traditional denture, don’t wait. Ask a member of our dental team if you might be a good candidate for the life-changing benefits of All-on-4 implants.
